This is my family 4 days & 3 nights vacation to Krabi, Thailand. We go there by air and there are a lot of Malaysian go to Krabi by road just 5 hours from Malaysia – Thailand border. The flight take around 1 hours from KLIA.
We stay at Krabi Heritage Hotel at Ao Nang. Ao Nang seem to be the main place of attraction because the Krabi town itself kinda have nothing special. 1st day we just sight seeing around Ao Nang town and the beach and we go to Gastropod Fosil Beach to buy some souvenir. The souvenir is a bit cheaper compare to Ao Nang town.
Second day we charter a boat and go kinda of Island hoping without exactly hoping to the Island because the conservation fees for each Island quite expensive. Stop at middle of the sea at Chicken Island for some snorkeling. Lunch and some swimming at Phra Nang beach, no conservation fees here.
3rd day we rent a car and go to Emerald Pool and Hot Stream pool. These place are about 60km from Ao Nang around 1 to 1 1/2 hrs journey.
The last day just a free and easy session and waiting for the delay flight at the airport.
Overall, a nice place to visit, place to stay are around Ao Nang town and beach, this is where the main attractions are. The hotel quite cheap during off season, it is even cheaper is just go there by walk in without prior booking. Foods are simply expensive not because of the exchange rate, it just expensive… Nasi Lemak Telur Mata is around RM10, most of the food are above RM10 where the same food we can buy in Malaysia 2 or 3 times cheaper.
